MailOrderBikes Visit Raleigh Nottingham Jan 2012
We have been to countless range releases over the years with Raleigh UK in Nottingham, but this year's was definitely one of the finest. With the Raleigh brand celebrating 125 years of producing bicycles, they had the some of the best models we have ever seen manufactured by Raleigh. For example the road range (viewable in the Road Bikes Section on MailOrderBikes.com) are so well engineered. The frame designs are rigid yet extremely lightweight throughout the range. Our favourites were the Team SP and the SP Carbon Race, both mind blowing bikes in weight, spec and feel when riding. We have the full road range viewable at our Shoreham showroom if you want to view them up close. This also means you can contact us with technical questions and we can look at the bike whilst talking with you over the phone in you require in depth spec info.
We were also wowed by the Raleigh E-Bikes (also all viewable at the Shoreham West Sussex showroom and MailOrderBikes.com HQ). Lloyd the Raleigh E-Bikes Product manager passionately explained the Dover and Leeds Tour Raleigh E-Bikes with their Panasonic batteries and generous 2 year warranty (most battery manufacturers will give 6-12 month warranties). The quality of the Raleigh e-bikes is not just a visual one, if you ride them as we had the opportunity to at Raleigh Nottingham you will be converted to E-bikes in an instant. They are more affordable than a car in initial costs, running costs and are safer for the environment and healthier for the rider. It's win win, especially when we are being forewarned of iminent petrol price rises.
The Dahon folding bike range is also being distributed by Raleigh UK for 2012. With a folding bike for every situation, Dahon are the world's largest folding bike manufacturer and will be available to buy on our site soon. Watch this space (or even better watch our website www.mailorderbikes.com )
We were also shown the Diamondback 2012 range of hardtail and full suspension mtb's. This year the Sortie 1,2 and 3 and the Response Comp, Assault, Apex and Axis really made an impression on us. The frame geometry of the Sortie for example gives you a lower center of gravity for more control. The hardtail frames also focus on a higher head tube to give more room for longer travel forks. There are so many unique selling points to the DB's that we recommend you come to view the models at one of our showrooms or give us a call so we can advise you on the most suitable model. Oh, and before i forget, you should search for the Contra range on our site too. They are 700c trekking bikes with real offroad capacity. A great efficient ride if your looking for a hybrid bike.
That's all for now, we will be updating you over the next few weeks with accessories available from Raleigh and Diamondback this year. High ho Silver!
